Alertness to the needs of others is th emark of the Vigil Honor. It calls for an individual with an unusual awareness of the possibilities within each situation. The Vigil Honor is a high mark of distinction and recognition reserved for those Arrowmen who, by reason of exceptional service, personal effort, and unselfish interest, have made distinguished contributions beyond the immediate responsibilities of their position to their lodge, the Order of the Arrow, Scouting, or their Scout Camp.
The Vigil Honor nominees are selected by a Lodge Chief appointed Vigil Selection committee and must have two years service as a Brotherhood member of the OA. The 2010 candidates for the Vigil Honor are:
-Drew Andersen
-Chris Mandler
-Ted Ellsworth
-Cory Scoffield
-Shaun Bawden
-Dave Kirk
-Albert Luce
Congratulations to these individuals for their outstanding service to the Order.
